Nowadays, we have all the things we need to keep ourselves clean. Running water, soap, toothpaste, toilets, toilet paper, and others. But what if we didn’t have these things? What if we had to live like people lived in medieval times? Thomas Morton wanted to find out so he set out to live medievally for two weeks.

For two weeks, he didn’t shower, he didn’t brush his teeth, he didn’t use a toilet. Basically didn’t use any of the cleaning things we take for granted today. Throughout his two weeks of living like a medieval person, he tried various techniques to keep himself clean. I think the most disgusting one was pissing on his clothes to clean them. That and putting oatmeal under his armpits to cover his body odor.

The article on his experience is definitely worth the read. It’s not that long and is super interesting. But beware, some of this shat is incredibly disgusting.
