Henry Allingham, the world's oldest man and the last surviving member of the original Royal British Airforce during WWI has passed away today. Being a veteran of WWI, he thought it was important to remind Britain about the 9million people who were killed during the world and their sacrifice. Here's a personal quote from him, a few years back.
"I think we need to make people aware that a few men gave all they had
to give so that you could have a better world to live in," he said. "We
have to pray it never happens again."
He is survived by five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.
