Harvard professor Daniel Lieberman explains why running barefoot is actually better than running with shoes. When he was researching how people who had never worn shoes ran, he discovered that they landed on the front of their foot rather than their heels. Landing on your forefoot exerts less force on your body making it more healthy for you.
