As amazing as the effects of Avatar were, I'm much more interested in the making of it. The featurette above shows the process of capturing the actors' performances. Its a bit long bet definitely worth the watch if you're into the tech involved in movies.

I went to go see Avatar today and thought it was okay. Avatar is all about the eye candy, which would've been great except I spent two hours of the movie fiddling around with my 3D glasses so that I didn't end up with a headache whenever I looked the screen.
Anyway, Avatar = Pocahontas + SPESHULLEFFAX. The end.
I came to the movie with no expectations because I had no idea what it was about. I saw it in regular 3d and the first half of the movie reminded me of some cheap movie you'd see on the Syfy channel. Little did I know, it led to the second half which was TOTALLY epic and now makes me want to recycle and save our planet. The fight scenes and special effects were epic and something you would expect from a James Cameron movie. The storyline was great and I now believe that James Cameron is a genius. I'm giving it:
So a new Avatar trailer was released a couple days ago. This one is lots better. Promise. Too bad the Avatar people are being retarded and not letting people put it up on youtube/embed.

Avatar and Delgo probably have completely different story lines but they look like the same movie.
