Well, now I know.

Serena Williams Plays Table Tennis With Matthew Syed.

Serena Williams Table Tennis

Ever wonder how a world class tennis player would do playing table tennis? I have...Plenty of times! Looking at Serena Williams play, it's like she doesn't know what the heck she is doing! I wasn't really that surprised though considering tennis usually inhibits ones ability to play table tennis due to the different strokes. Well here, she plays Britains old champion Matthew Syed.

At first I thought, "who the heck is this clown... He looks like he has no idea what he's doing! Then I checked out his rating. The way that table tennis ratings work here in the US is the higher the rating...The better....Let's put it this way... My rating is about 1933...Matthew Syeds is about 2830. Dang. Watch the video here.

Magician Derren Brown predicted the winning lottery numbers last night. Live. Derren predicted the numbers earlier but was unable to announce them due to legal reasons and he has also been banned from buying a ticket for this lottery. There are many theories on how he did it: camera tricks, e-ink balls, filming all combinations. But I think the most obvious is that he invented a time machine. Duhhhhh.

Derren says he’s gonna reveal how he did it on another show this Friday night. I bet lots of people are going to tune and he’s gonna get loads of money.

More info and theories here.

Buddha Shaped Pears!

buddha pears

We received a complaint that we had way too many videos and not enough stories from a Sidekick user. Why? Because Sidekicks can't view videos, so when WTFoodge is launched on a Sidekick, this site is pretty much all captions. Well, here is a story for the 1 in a thousand Sidekick users...Buddha shaped pears!

I'd like to get my hands on one of these but they are only sold in England... They are also £5 each which is more than $5, and in the time of a recession as a college student I JUST HAVE NO MONEY FOR BUDDHA SHAPED PEARS! You'd think something as crazy as this would be an idea by the crazy Japanese, but it's actually a Chinese person who thought of this! Here's a little blurb to tell you more about the background of these whacky pears.

Plucky farmer Gao Xianzhang has created 10,000 of the mini marvels this season and he plans to take the fruits of his labour to the UK and Europe.

Britain could soon see the arrival of the pears, which are shaped like mini Buddhas.

If the idea catches on, sales of the mini pears could hit the profits of British farmers who are already struggling to fend off sales of cheaper foreign produce in recession-hit Britain.

Antique Bugatti Found In Garage Sells For $4.4 Million

bugatti-type-57s1

1937 Bugatti Type 57S sells for 3.4 Million Euro ($4.4 Million) at an auction in Paris. The car was abandoned in a garage in England for half a century and made Dr. Harold Carr, the family who owned it, millions. How insane is that. Who has an old Bugatti lay around in their garage anyway. Bet Dr. Carr didn't even need that extra cash. Dr. Carr.. Hah.. Isn't that a coincidence.
