The New York Times has a pretty interesting graph of how people spend their time. Though some of the data seems a little off, like computer use and sleeping.

Mosquito genocide anyone?

posted by bentday on 07.12.09 at 3:42 pm

graph1Today, I woke up this morning to find 8 mosquito bites all over my body. Does anyone else hate them as much as I do? Looking at this graph I made, I conclude that it is only logical for the United States to go to war with mosquitos. I mean they kill over 3,000,000 people each year, we've gone to war for less.

Wealthier Nations are Happier Nations.

The New York Times did a series on the correlation between wealth and happiness. There is in fact a trend that the richer the nation, the happier they are. On the top is Denmark and on the bottom is Togo (Some country in West Africa). I found this to be quite interesting since we were learning about this is psychology. Often times we are told that money doesn't buy happiness, but this study tends to tell a different story. I think it's when one gets corrupted with money that happiness tends to fade away and obsession starts to come in.
