So today (1/10/10)  is the 9th annual "No Pants Subway Ride", and I'm going to go. Whoever wants to join me, text me (Don't call because I'll probably be at church service). I rallied up a few people to go...Actually only one confirmed and the others are backing out because they're pansies. The info is here!

Improv Everywhere @ Best Buy

posted by Chris on 06.14.09 at 11:00 pm

This is a pretty old Improve Everywhere mission but I just saw it today. The mission was to have 80 people dressed up in khaki pants and a blue polo, infiltrate a Best Buy in Manhattan. They would walk around the store posing as Best Buy employees. If customers asked them questions, they would try to answer them but if employees asked what they were doing, they’d simply respond, “I’m waiting on a friend”.

It was pretty amusing to see how the employees would respond to this. Some of them got a kick out of it but others seemed to be frightened, as if the people in blue shirts were planning a robbery or something.

2,000 High Fives

posted by Chris on 02.09.09 at 6:00 pm

Improv Everywhere, those that brought you No Pants 2K9 and Food Court Musical have just completed another mission codenamed “High Five Escalator”. The goal was to give out 2000 high fives.

Who was giving them out? Rob.

It took place in the subway station at 53rd and Lexington, one of the busiest in NYC. Improv Everywhere agents lined up along the stairs parallel to the escalators holding up signs that read: “Rob wants”, “to give you”, “a high five!”, “GET ready!”.

Rob stood at the top while the people on the escalator passed by and gave him high fives.

high-five

He got over 2000 high fives in 45 minutes!

Check out the video:

The Improv Everywhere team posted a bunch of photos from the mission on their website here.

There were a lot of people with smiles on their face. I guess it was a good way to start off the day. Although Rob now probably has every type of germ, std, disease NYC has to offer.

No Pants 2k9-Improv Everywhere.

Improv everywhere is infamous for doing crazy things in ordinary places. This time they decided to wear no pants in the subways. As you can see, this is crazy for two reasons. #1 they are in the subway. #2 It's about 2 degrees outside. This was pretty funny, the guy at 1:24 looks so confused hahaha. I found their food court musical to be the funniest improv of all.
