Lego Cello

Nathan Sawaya, Lego artist extraordinaire, has made a fully functional cello out of Legos.

I built a cello out of LEGO. It is the actual size of a non-LEGO cello. It also sounds different from a non-LEGO cello. Here's the YouTube video that everyone is talking about of me creating the cello brick by brick.

Nathan, if you’re reading this (you probably aren’t), I challenge you to make a full blown double bass. Mwahahahaha.

James May, Top Gear co-host and toy fanatic, built a house out of Legos. No, not those wimpy little things that we would all build with a puny Lego sets. James and a team of workers built a real, full-size two-story house complete with a working bathroom.

So exactly how many Lego pieces does it take to build a house that size? Oh about… 816 million. To see more pictures, head over to GeekSugar.

This amazing Lego stop-motion short is the product of 1500 hours of moving Lego pieces and taking pictures, an arduous task I’m sure. The video was done by a Swedish group called Rymdreglage. Tomas Redigh did the animation while the music was done by Daniel Larsson.

Those darn bullet holes from World War II bothering you? Why pay hundreds of dollars to get those holes patched up when you can just get Jan Vormann to fill them with Legos :D This was done at a building of Humbold University. Sooooooo Awesome!

A flickr user by the name of skinny coder has an awesome picture album of games recreated using Lego pieces. There are only a couple of them but all of them are awesome. I wish there were more but making one these looks like pretty time consuming.
