HAHA This is exactly how L4D would be if it was for the NES. I watched the whole thing expecting a Tank... Unfortately there were no Tanks, but they did have a Boomer! Cute.

JSNES

JSNES is a very impressive javacript NES emulator by Ben Firshman. There’s a whole bunch of old-school classics you can play including my favorite, Contra.

I highly recommend you use Google Chrome to play JSNES. Thanks to its high performance canvas element, and a clever optimisation by Connor Dunn, it runs at full speed on modern computers. Mac builds are also available. Otherwise, it just about runs on Firefox 3.5 or Safari 4, but it's hardly playable.

Other than being only playable on Google Chrome, there’s also no sound. Still, it’s very impressive to see such creative use of HTML5.

The bands called Anamanaguchi and these guys are simply, great! Who would have thought making awesome music from the NES 8bit audio track would sound so good. I believe they have a record out right now, and since they're still underground you can legally steal there music :] enjoy!

ThinkGeek Releases The Pocket Retro Game Emulator

posted by bentday on 06.06.09 at 7:40 pm

Pocket Retro Game EmulatorThinkGeek is at it again with their Pocket Retro Game Emulator. It runs at the highest frame-rate possible and with sound which is awesome! So what ROMs can it play? All of the following: NES, SNES, GBA, Sega Genesis, and Neo Geo ROMs. This nifty gadget runs for $99 and is purchasable here. I'm going to do my best to get my hands on one of these so I can write an in-depth video review on it. Without further adieu, here is a short video of it in action.

I’ve never actually played the oldschool NES Punch Out but I like these videos for the new remake. The new Punch Out looks like a more in-depth version of the boxing game found on Wii Sports which could be a good or bad thing. Too bad I won’t be able to find out cause somebody broke my Wii.

I think I’m gonna go bust out a NES emulator and play some Punch-Out!!
