posted by on 02.01.12 at 1:35 am

So my suite mates and I decided to randomly jam to tunes and we decided on this, and this was only after like 30 minutes of playing. That's freaking hot...Now we just need to perfect it! (Recorded on front facing camera of iPhone)

We went in not knowing what to expect...And it ended up being long and hard. There were times where we just wanted it all the end, but we just kept pushing on. FIRST SEMESTER OF NURSING SCHOOL OVER! Oh, and that's what she said (Giggles!).

Dave and I Were at Big Event This Weekend!

posted by on 11.01.11 at 2:27 am

So this weekend, I hit up Lake Champion for a retreat for IVCF called Big Event. The photo above is of my small group. I had the privilege of leading a small group and I was informed about this only about a week before the actual retreat. The two weeks before Big Event were full of exams and studying, and leading something was the last thing I do. I wanted to relax and retreat from all this craziness around me, but after thinking about it and asking some of my close friends, I decided to go for it. Why not go for a challenge if God opens foors? Let me tell you that through leading these people in discussion, I learned more than I ever have. It was such a humbling experience and I literally just "let it happen". I didn't even read the 9 page packet they gave me to prepare for it. Regardless God gave me the words to say, the questions to ask, and an awesome group of people. A new passion has grown within me and I can't wait to see what the future holds. I have to continue to humble myself to know that I am not close to perfect nor will I ever be as long as I'm here. During the plenary sessions, I realized who I was in the past and how I am still capable of being that same judgmental person. This goes out to a specific someone, and I don't know if you still read my blog or , but if you do let me tell you that I am sorry for being who I was and for reacting to things the way I did. I hope you forgive me!

It Has Been A Long While Since I Posted… And This Is How I look Now…

All the nursing forums said that the profession of nursing ages you fast because of the stress...I didn't think it would be THIS bad :*(.

What I’ve Done In My Clinicals Thusfar.

posted by on 10.19.11 at 4:48 am

I just finished two back to back exams yesterday, and now I can finally sit down and relax a little. I have another exam next Wednesday, but I'll wrestle with that monster sometime later this week. I think one of my favorite things in nursing school are the clinicals. Those days, I have absolutely no idea what the crap is going to go down. I have no idea what patients I'm going to get and/or what symptoms they have. (more...)
