Suicidal Ants

Ants do not jump off buildings nor do they slit their wrists when they commit suicide. They run around in a circle continuously till they die from exhaustion. How awesome is that?

It’s called the ant death spiral. For some reason, the ants form a circle and just keep walking around and around. Because ants navigate by following other ant scents, more ants will join in on the circle of death. It isn’t until a group of ants break away that the spiral stops.

Here’s some more videos of this phenomenon.

Old Man Pushes Suicide Jumper

chenfuchao-suicide

You guys have probably heard about this already but I’m gonna post it anyway.

This guy, Chen Fuchao, was heavily in debt so he decides, “oh shii, lemme go climb on a bridge and contemplate suicide for like a couple hours while holding up traffic and stuff”.

Then 66-year-old ex-soldier, Lai Jiansheng, is like, “wtf is this dude doing mang. i’m gonna go up there and fugg his shat up”. So he climbs up onto the bridge, shakes Chen’s hand and gives him a nice little push.

Chen falls about 30 feet onto a nice soft emergency air cushion.

Here’s a video from the scene. Lots and lots of chinese people swearing.

Student Death at Stony Brook in Roth Quad.

stony-brook-announcements

A student at Stony Brook was just found dead by an RA at Roth last evening on March 10 2009. We don't know about what happened but apparently it was a suicide because there was no criminality involved. I've heard that this school was depressing but dang...I didn't know it was that depressing that someone would go to that extent to commit suicide. We mourn the loss of the student. This is the second time someone committed suicide in a school that I went to. In Brooklyn Tech, another student commited suicide....It's very sad and who ever it was will be in my prayers...
