Sam Raimi is going to be directing a live-action World of Warcraft movie. He is the same guy who recently did Drag Me to Hell and the Spiderman trilogy.

Here’s what Raimi had to say about it:

"At its core, Warcraft is a fantastic, action-packed story," said Raimi. "I am thrilled to work with such a dynamite production team to bring this project to the big screen."

And what Blizzard says:

"Blizzard Entertainment and Legendary Pictures have a shared vision for this film and we searched at length to find the very best director to bring that vision to life," said Paul Sams, chief operating officer of Blizzard Entertainment. "From our first conversation with Sam, we could tell he was the perfect choice. Sam knows how to simultaneously satisfy the enthusiasts and the mainstream audience that might be experiencing that content for the first time. We're looking forward to working with him to achieve that here."

WoW Freakout Kid in a Tree

It’s the same kid, from way back when. His brother actually has a collection of his freak outs on his youtube channel. I’m starting to think that they’re fake. It’s either that or this kid really, really needs help.

WoW Freakout Kid Strikes Again.

Okay this isn't as crazy as the first video that we posted a few weeks back with him going crazy after the cancelation of his Wow account but it's still pretty bad. Yes, this is indeed the same kid that went nuts. It's hard to tell if the videos are legit or not because on one hand the kid does pretty ridiculous things...On the other hand either his parents are playing along with it or they're serious.

This kid’s mom canceled her son’s WoW account. What follows is incredibly hilarious.

I don’t know, just watch it. Pay special attention at 1:10.

The WoW Pod

Do you play WoW all day and never ever want to go AFK? Well, here’s your solution: The Wow Pod. The WoW Pod is little hut that houses all the things a World of Warcraft player would ever need. Computer + huge monitor? Check. Drinks? Check. Food? Check. Toilet throne? Check. You never have to leave your seat ever again. It even has a hot plate to cook your snacks!

The WoW Pod is a project by Cati Vaucelle, a researcher at MIT Media Laborator’s Tangible Media Group. (Yes, its a girl.)

Here’s a video of it in action. Skip to around 2:10 to skip all the boring. Btw the music in this video is really annoying.

You can find more info on it on Cati Vaucelle's site. Right now its being displayed at the MIT Museum if you want to go see it, but I’m guessing you’d rather stay home and play WoW.

Thanks for the tip Andy.
